Apple cider vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar
is a Versatile
Natural Hair Care Product

Add shine, bounce and remove buildup from your hair with a simple apple cider vinegar rinse. Apple cider vinegar is a well-known health food and folk remedy. Acetic acid, the main ingredient, will remove buildup from styling products and conditioners and strengthen the hair shaft, leaving you with soft, glimmering strands. Apple cider vinegar hair rinse will also balance hair's pH level, kill bacteria and is a great cure for dandruff. This rinse in not recommended for color-treated or processed hair, as acetic acid is a clarifier and can strip hair of color.

1) Make the rinse by mixing 1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar with 1 qt. of distilled water. Put the mixture in a plastic bottle and bring it into the shower or bath.

2) Shampoo hair and rinse well. Apply the apple cider vinegar rinse to your hair. Leave it in for a few seconds. Rinse your hair using cold water to seal the hair shaft and create more shine. Because vinegar is acidic, using the rinse daily is not advised. Try it once a week at most. Pay attention to how your hair responds and adjust use accordingly. You don't need to condition hair after the rinse.
3) Dry your hair with a towel. If you notice a vinegar scent after you're done rinsing, don't fret. The smell will disappear after your hair dries.

Anti-Aging tip: Lemon!!

Lemon juice has many flavorful and healthy uses when added to foods and drinks. It also has a variety of uses for natural skin and beauty treatments as well. Here are some of the ways you can use lemon as a natural part of your beauty regimen.

Instructions

USE LEMON FOR BEAUTIFUL SKIN
1. For brighter, softer skin use fresh lemon juice on any area of your body, including the knees, elbows, and face to brighten up and soften your skin. Lemon juice also fades freckles and age spots by applying lemon juice on the areas before going to bed at night. Over the course of a week or two, it will cleanse the skin and lighten its color. You can also add 1/2 cup of fresh juice to your bath water and soak for 20 minutes for an all over skin treatment.

2. If your skin is sensitive to the citric acid in lemons, you may desire to dilute the lemon juice with a bit of water rather than use it full strength. I apply lemon juice to my skin by putting the juice on an already moistened cotton ball. It is also not advisable that you apply lemon juice to your skin before sun exposure as it makes the skin more sensitive to the sun.
3. Get Rid of Blackheads by rubbing lemon juice over the area of your face that has blackheads before going to bed at night. In the morning, rinse your face with cool water. Repeat this procedure nightly until blackheads are gone.

4. To exfoliate dead skin cells rub a cut lemon dipped into a half-teaspoon of sugar over your face for a few minutes, or create a mild mixture by using lemon juice, sugar and a small amount of water. Do this every night to help remove accumulated dead skin cells and refresh your skin.
5. To make a lemon anti-wrinkle mask mix a teaspoon of honey, a few drops of lemon juice and a drop of sweet almond oil. Apply this mixture on the face and allow it to dry for 20 minutes and wash off.

USE LEMON TREATMENTS FOR THE HAIR
1. To make a hair conditioner for dull, damaged hair combine 3/4 cup Olive Oil, with 1/2 cup raw honey and 3 tablespoons of lemon juice. Use the mixture by combing the lemon juice mixture evenly throughout already wet hair. Then cover hair with a plastic cap or bag for a 1/2 hour. Shampoo and rinse this conditioner out of your hair.

2. To add natural highlights to your hair use 1/4 cup lemon juice and 3/4 cup water mixed together and apply the mixture to your hair. I prefer to mix it in a spray bottle and then spray it on my hair and comb it through. Sit in the sun for 25 minutes or use the heat from a blow dryer for a sun bleached look. Each use will lighten the hair slightly.

3. For a lemon hair rinse, mix the juice from two lemons (about 3 fluid ounces) with a quart of water. This rinse helps to reduce oils from oily hair.

4.Treat hair loss by mixing lemon juice with four tablespoons of coconut milk. Apply the mixture to the scalp once a week.

5. To treat dandruff and an itchy scalp take an egg white and mix it with the juice of a lemon (about 3 Tablespoons). Apply this mixture to the scalp and rub it in and let it set for an hour, and then wash it out. Repeat treatment for a month.

USE LEMON FOR NAIL CARE
For strong, shiny, bright fingernails soak your fingernails in lemon juice for about 10 minutes. Then brush your fingernails with a nail brush dipped in a mixture of 1/2 white vinegar and 1/2 warm water and then rinse with warm water.

USE LEMON FOR A BODY DETOX TREATMENT
Lemon water is also great for detoxifying for your body. In a glass, mix the juice from a lemon with warm water and sweeten with 1 tsp of honey. Lemon juice aids your liver in flushing out unwanted toxins, stimulates blood circulation, reduces arterial pressure, and activates bile and intestinal secretions. So it's a good idea to drink lemon water daily.

How to get a healthy and glowy skin!!

Hi everyone,

So these are some tips on how to get a healthy and glowy looking skin.
  • Like you already know, you have to drink water. Avoid drinking soda, coffee and drink green tea or cerasee tea.

* Cerasee tea is really good to purify your blood. It prevents colds, headaches, bellyache. It works!! My mom used to give me that when I was a child. It has a bitter taste but it's good for our healthy. You can add a little pinch of salt for it to taste better.

  • Avoid touching your face. Why? Because through out the day, you touch so many things and you hands are full of bacteria and they are going directly on your face. So...imagine...

  • Avoid eating junk food because it is not good for you!

  • Apply lemon on your skin. It will make you skin look brighter and healthier.

  • Get facial. It gives you a beautiful glow, clean very deeply, diminish your pore size, prevent breakouts, relax you, increase the blood flow (Which helps premature aging) etc.

  • If you have a cell phone, disinfect it with alcohol everyday. Your cell phone touches your face and your face secret sebum. For that you need to clean areas your working with. Your computer mouse, everything you touch often.

  • And of course...use Raw African Black Soap to wash your face, use a good toner and moisturise after on your face!!!
Enjoy!!

    Belgium Journey!

    Hey people,

Here I am back in Montreal. As we all know, Belgium is known for their fries, waffles and chocolates. Europe is so different from Canada and united States. Everything or almost everything is different! I had a lot of fun! I went there with 2 of my teachers and 12 others students of the Fashion Marketing Program to discover the fashion industry out there. It was amazing!!! W stayed for 10 days. We went to La Cambre, a fashion design school, Fashion show. It was too long but really original. The music was good, the lighting also, pretty much everything! I was sleeping at the 2nd part because of jet lag. The Fashion show was the same day we arrived. It wasn't a commercial fashion show like we all the time and OI think that's what caught my attention. It was spectacular and entertaining!

I was so shocked! My friends and I went to dinner at Pizza Hut. Suddenly, one of her wanted to go to the bathroom. So she gets there and there's a lady seated at a table eating and it's written .030€ to go in. It was like this everywhere except for some places. The prize were between 0.30€ and 0.50€. So ridiculous. Anyways.....

My best day was on Saturday. We went to Antwerpen. It was so cool. The stores, the people, the atmosphere and even the vibe were different. I LIKED IT A LOT! I'm definitely going back to that City! I never thought I would ever go to Europe, let alone going to Belgium. It was a great experience. I really enjoyed my journey! Thank God!

    Distraction!!!

These days I've been so distracted....
It is so easy to get distracted in life. We can be distracted by things such as school, family, work, our environment and many other things. The best things to do are to keep our focus (always have our eyes on what we do) and keep our thoughts pure and clear. Find a way to release your stress. My first reaction is to pray God through his son Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It's not always easy to talk about what we're going through. Either because it is too painful or because we just can't talk about it...

Surround your self with positive people. It is the KEY!!!

    Hair breakage!!!!!

I've been experimenting hair breakage lately. It is terrible!! Hair is breaking so bad!!! I keep my hair moisturize and I seal pretty often. I definitely cause by a lack of protein in my hair. So I tried different things to stop my hair to break. We all know that our nutrition is important. So make sure you eat right and you take your vitamins. But in my opinion, hair shedding comes from the inside and hair breakage from the outside. To solve this problem, avoid using heat on your hair cause it might damage it even more, do not use a lot of chemicals and do not wear hairstyles that are too tight. These are usually the main reasons.

Great product line for hair breakage: Aphogee

Few simple tips you can put into practice to help with hair breakage.
    1.  Pre-poo your hair before you shampoo (Pre Poo is when u put conditioner and moister on your hair and let it sit for 30 min to an hour before u shampoo your hair.)
    2. Wash you hair every 2 to 3 weeks. If you have natural hair, use a moisturizing shampoo that is designed to eliminate the buildup of hair products. If you have coarse hair, wash it with a detangling shampoo.
    3. For hair that is relaxed, use a shampoo with extra moisturizers once a week.
    4. Deep Condition your hair after each wash.
    5. Avoid hairstyles that are too tight.
    6. Use wide-toothed combs and/or soft brushes.
    7. Apply a leave-in conditioner and dry your hair.
